The biggest milestone in our household over these last few weeks has been the celebration of our little baby turning ONE!!! We can hardly believe how fast the past year went and how much of a "big girl" Olivia has become. Her birthday party was a smashing success with over 25 guests in attendance to share her special day. We were grateful that Grammie could come out for the celebration.
Her party was a pink and green color scheme with a theme of "a look back at Olivia's 1st Year." We had photos all over the main floor of her first year as well as a scrapbook that I (painstakingly) created over the last few months. I am also working on a movie of her 1st year but it is still in production. We had pink, green and white balloons throughout the main level, though, Olivia's high-chair balloons had to "disappear" once we put her in the chair to sing because she was completely freaked out by them. She has currently made peace with the balloons and has her helium "First Birthday" balloon tied to one of her toys downstairs to play with.
Guests dined on Matt's homemade hummus, veggies, crackers, Mom's homemade chicken salad on croissants and the always popular tortilla cream-cheese rollups. For dessert we featured chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting for the guests and Olivia ate a special vegan/gluten-free vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting.
