I have delightful memories as a kid of spending many fall days in Michigan at a pumpkin patch with my family. There were always cute baby animals, a "spookhouse," bales of hay to climb and jump off of, and best of all: fresh cider and donuts.
We spent the last two weekends checking out local pumpkin patches here in KC. The first one we went to is in JoCo and was a little 'spensive considering that our little pumpkin is not really at the age to participate in most of the attractions that drove the cost up. I mean $10 to just get IN and then almost everything else to "do" had a price tag as well. Seriously? The second one was in Lawrence where we felt right at home with all the fellow babywearing mama's and daddies and the place had a much more down home farm "feel." Best of all, it was FREE. Both places offered wagon rides which was the highlight for Olivia, and the first patch had a makeshift "choo-choo train" which was really a John Deere pulling some quasi-train compartment things. Olivia loved this feature though and overall we had a lovely time at both places.
I love the look on her face in this one. She knew it wasn't a pumpkin but didn't quite get the whole gourd thing either :)
Matt was told he couldn't ride in the train WITH Olivia (this was after he had squeezed himself in and out of it - pure fun on my part). The kid then told Matt he could walk along side her to make sure she was okay. Awesome.
Such a good Daddy
This is at the Lawrence patch - she was saying "cheeese" in this one, hence the crooked mouth

She had just discovered the wagon and the hopes of getting one nice photo with Mommy went out the window
Always ready for a good picture with her Daddy
