Olivia is 2!!! I can't believe my little baby is such a big girl now. Time really does fly. We celebrated her 2nd birthday with a nice day together as a family. Prior to her birthday, several family members and clients of mine asked if she understood what it meant that her birthday was coming up. Well on her actual birthday, we were awakened bright and early (6am) by hearing her on the monitor saying "open presents." Uh yeah, so she totally "got" that it was her birthday and birthdays mean PRESENTS.
We let her open a couple things in the morning before we went to church. Mommy and Daddy got her a Pottery Barn chair to sit and read books in which was a big hit. We also got her balloons which cost a fraction of what the chair cost and she may actually like those a bit more.
The rest of the day was spent skyping with family which was super fun for her because each skype call meant more presents!! Grammie and Grandpa Lennex got her a shiny red tricycle which we were able to go outside and try out due to the incredibly warm temps. She also got a shopping cart and LOTS of books!
She looks so grown up! I love that all her big gifts are things that will get lots of use for years. Those are the best!
