This year, Minnie (my mom) came to stay with us for a week and Auntie Kimmy (my youngest sis) visited for almost 10 days. Awesomeness. Not only were there two built-in playmates for Olivia, but it was great having extra company to hang out with every day.
We continued our normal hectic schedule with Kindermusik, dance and packing the days with as many activities as we could to ward off toddler boredom. A highlight of the visit was Olivia's first trip to the Plaza Art Fair. We thought she'd be interested in all of the kid activities and the mass amounts of canines strolling about, but none of it ranked as high for her as the LIVE bands. Other than at church (where our worship leaders know they have a regular groupie) she has never seen live music like that with a full set of instruments, amps, the whole deal. She was amazed.
Sporting her rock-star glasses with Auntie
First photo of the three of us dressed and out of the house in almost 4 months!
Not really wanting to take a photo when there is a LIVE BAND right over there!!
Olivia was not cooperating for this photo...
Post balloon animal, she was a little more willing.
Breakfast with Minnie
Shopping in the imaginary grocery store. With sunglasses. Always sunglasses.
Standing in the tunnel is a new favorite activity
Playing "hide and seek" with Auntie which just meant sitting in the middle of any room with the scarf over her head.
This has nothing to do with anyone visiting, I just liked her little Tea dress.
Flashing her best big-girl pose and hairdo "like mommy's"
Helping Mommy open birthday presents (sadly, this is the only photo we have of this!)
Cheese!
