Our Zoo Adventure

We decided to take the girls to the Omaha zoo this week since we've heard such awesome things about it and Olivia is really into animals.  We debated back and forth whether we should just drive there and back in one day or do the overnight in a hotel with 2 kids under 3 thing.  We opted for Option 2 which was most definitely the wrong decision.  Hotel rooms + 2 kids = no sleep.  Now, we are no strangers to no sleep in our house. After all, we have a 4 month old and we also have a toddler who didn't sleep through the night until 19 months and since June has been waking at least 1-2 times in the night (we think she does this just so she can not be outdone by her sister).  However, this lack of sleep was on a whole other level.  I think Hailey actually slept more than anyone which seems very backwards to me.

 I think this was some sort of leopard.  He was very active which was pretty neat.

 The peacocks roaming about were really cool at first.  They became less cool after we stepped in their poop for the 15th time.

 I stopped to nurse Baby H in the monkey area.  We happened to be the only ones in there for a bit and this monkey was so into us he came right over to the window the entire time.  Olivia was beside herself.

Then, he brought his friend.  You can't see from the picture but the monkeys have their hands against the glass.  Very cool.

*note: the camera batteries died right after the carousel photo so I resorted to taking the last couple shots on my phone, hence the sub-par photo quality.
