It has been a lovely spring in Kansas City. We have had some really nice weather (intermixed with the usual thunder and hail storms) and we've been able to get out a few times to enjoy the spring days!
We were able to get some nice spring photos in front of our house with our azaleas. These bushes are not our favorite since 50 weeks out of the year they are pretty ugly but for the 2 wonderful weeks in May when they bloom, it is really fun to look outside every day and enjoy them!
Yesterday we took a quick trip to Lawrence which is one of our favorite day excursions in the KC area. In addition to walking around in the sunshine, we ate at Local Burger which is a restaurant that serves organic food from local farms. Today we went to the farmers market near our house and walked around for a couple of hours with Olivia. She loves being in the Ergo carrier and ended up falling asleep on Daddy. We also have taken her out on several walks and she has transitioned to the big-girl seat on her stroller instead of the bassinet. She likes being able to look around at all the activity around her and seems to genuinely like being outdoors. We are enjoying these last few days of spring and looking forward to taking her to the pool this summer!
